“Gratitude solves all problems.” I think this is a perfect way to describe tapping into the universal energy that flows through everything all the time. That “place” where it is all perfectly okay right now, regardless of the difficulties of current conditions.

Most people call them “Time Outs.” That moment when we have to correct our dog for not doing what we ask by depriving them of something they wanted. Does it really work? It can. But it may be trickier than you think it is. Sometimes Negative Punishment turns into just plain retribution or retaliation and isn’t about teaching the dog at all!
Now I’m serving up the juicy, fork-tender meat with the browned exterior that a crock pot just can’t deliver. I make everything from coq-au-vin to lamb stew, and even blackberry cobbler with the help of my little friend.
In a time of mass media we are losing the gentle and subtle art of attraction and a return to it maybe just what the world needs as a love potion.
Reading was always an escape for me. Growing up in a household with seven children, an alcoholic father, and more than a few relocations – books grounded me in a necessary ‘unreality’. Reading, for me, was a tool for coping.
I’d like to introduce you to two of my closest friends. We’ve known each other since childhood. In fact, we have done almost everything together. Both of them have always been at my side when I put the things I create out into the world. They never miss that. Here’s the funny thing: You probably know them, too.
I have been a hospice volunteer, working with dying patients, for several years. I know – the thought of spending time with people who are dying sounds very depressing, and it may be for many. I do not find it depressing at all – I find it highly inspiring and enriching.
Going on family outings can be fun as long as you aren’t asphyxiated or thrown around like the balls in a giant pinball machine. Kids these days are missing out on all the fun.
When I was little, February 12th was Abe Lincoln’s birthday, a school holiday, my parents wedding anniversary and the anniversary of my father’s discharge from the army.
