For a moment I was right back into my life as I have often dreamed over the past year, that it might be once again. Don’t know what the next sunrise will bring but I am grateful to have made the start line and to have gotten the job done at least one more time.

In the Footsteps of Toson
“The entire Kiso Road is in the mountains.” This is the famous opening line of the novel Before the Dawn, written by Toson Shimazaki, who was born in Magome, Japan in 1872. The Kiso Road is part of the Nakasendo, an inland route connecting Kyoto and Tokyo.
