I love to create landscapes as they remind me of the wonderful places I have travelled, as well as those I look forward to visiting someday. I can sit in front of Monet’s paintings all day and I would never tire looking at them. I am drawn to the water scenes as they are filled with so many colours. I spend quite a bit of my summer vacation at the beach or beside the lake, as these are my favourite places to relax. So, naturally I tend to paint waterside scenes because they make me feel at peace and I love the juxtaposition of color between the warm greens and cooler purples and blues that nature generously shares . I am also inspired by my children and their zest for life.

Nadia Lassman Artist Bio
Although beginning my career as a lawyer, I have recently discovered my love of painting and consider myself to be an emerging artist. I have spent the past couple of years studying with various teachers who have been wonderful in helping me explore numerous techniques. I paint primarily with acrylic paint but dabble in oil painting from time to time. My preference is to create landscapes without being too abstract and I enjoy working with both brush and palette knife. I am inspired by Impressionist works and one may find this influence in my paintings, particularly as I like to build upon many layers of colour.
