The is a scene of Valletta, the capital city of Malta, shot at dusk from Sliema with the use of a tripod.
The majority of my photos are taken freehand without use of a tripod since there is no time to set up a tripod when I trek in a group. Most photos are taken on the go. I use bracketing with up to 7 Images and merge them together to a HDR.
This photo shows Birgu, one of the three cities opposite Valletta. This photo was published as cover art for the June 2014 issue of Lufthansa.

Fritz Grimm Photographer Bio
My name is Fritz, I am a German photographer based in Malta for the past 2 years. I have chosen this little rock to find my own path, for a change of life for the better and to improve my English. A better life for me is to be surrounded by positive energy, warm-hearted people, less consumerism and the sea, the sun and sand.
Before I came to Malta photography was a hobby. I purchased my first DSLR in 2008. Since I arrived in Malta I have made photography my profession as I have come to understand that I have to concentrate on doing what I really enjoy in life. In Germany I was working in purchasing and quality management systems in the automotive sector. For me it became a mentally challenging job when I realized how the economic system works. I am in the very beginning of my photography career and I am mostly self-taught and my photography career is advancing through trial, error and a lot of hard work. I don’t know where live will guide me but I am sure it will be good.
