When Two Worlds Collide, Good Things Can Happen
The worlds of art and technology at first glance may seem far apart, or too different from each other to be compatible, but in my case, the two go hand in hand. Since I’m a legally blind photographer, it would be impossible for me to practice my art without today’s technology.
The Antidote to Civilization
A long weekend getaway gave me the opportunity to test Club Med’s former slogan and my particular favorite, “The Antidote to Civilization.” Their new one is fine, “Where Happiness Means the World,” but I’m already happy enough, I just needed to tune out for a bit.
First Night in Tokyo
After a long flight, some people like to hit the hotel bed. I’d rather start exploring. I like to walk the area near my hotel and find a spot where I can hang out with locals. These photos are from a tiny yakiton bar I found under some train tracks in Tokyo. The beer was cold, the people were warm.

The butterfly is a symbol of the soul, of enlightenment and transformation, and for some, represent the spirit of the dead. For three years, I have shared my garden with these seasonal winged visitors. And in the process of rearing them, I too have changed.
Winter Sun
In Banff, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, from December to end of February, the Winter sun is cherished as it is not long shining on the landscape. Many lament the short days as the sun comes up around 8 and goes down at 4, so when the sun is up people get out.
