Tanah Rata in Cameron Hills is one of the oldest tourist destinations in Malaysia and offers relief from the heat and humidity of the lowlands. More importantly, though, it has proven to be a superb place to grow tea.
The Power of Collecting Art
For many people, collecting art fills a kind of spiritual void, gives them something they did not know they were missing. Art, in all its many forms, reminds us how to be human. Collecting it connects us to each other and helps us understand others’ cultures.
Today
The blue bird came out of its cage to sing a melody of love, and the song made the room remember its silence as the dried flowers of time began to age.
Wilpena Dreaming

A Footbridge in the Clouds
Man-made tourist attractions don’t come much better than the Langkawi Sky Bridge in the north of Malaysia. This curved, concrete and metal bridge is 125 metres long and spans between two mountains. Indeed, my walking destination is a specific modern shrine—Arzak Restaurant in San Sebastian, ranked number seven in San Pellegrino’s world Best 50 restaurants.
