In the ocean, life lives by water. On land, life lives by air. Somewhere along the way, I had gotten those two truths confused, and for decades, I was prone to choking.
Falling in Love with Art
Art. That dirty little 3 letter word. What’s it about. I’m sure its different for everyone. Perhaps I will talk about what it is to me. Living in a pile of paintings. A tangled mess I do sincerely confess. Stumbling over trash and rotting cheese, my brain exuding endless streams of undigested thought debris. No […]
Hail the Sun Gate
At the end of a long day’s trek, you reach The Sun Gate. This is the greatest arrival portal imaginable: Below you rests Machu Picchu, built in the 14th century and still magnificent and mysterious. A beguiling stone monument of a previous civilization.
Tipu Unplugged

Growing up, all my friends were of the opposite sex. Many of the girls I knew growing up, especially in my formative years, weren’t the nicest people. I was bullied profusely by my fellow girls. Therefore, I stayed away from most of them.
The Rusty Sheds
Calamus Winery is located in Jordan, on the ‘bench’ part of the Niagara escarpment with more moderate temperatures in the vineyards. It’s not the heritage barn or the deep space telescope and observatory, but the rusty shed that takes center stage in these images.
Some Red and Green for the Holidays
In my practice, I work with a variety of subjects and mediums, loving the process as much as the product. When I want to be free to express and experiment with brushwork and colour, I often turn to simple food items and paint them from imagination.
