Art. That dirty little 3 letter word. What’s it about. I’m sure its different for everyone. Perhaps I will talk about what it is to me. Living in a pile of paintings. A tangled mess I do sincerely confess. Stumbling over trash and rotting cheese, my brain exuding endless streams of undigested thought debris. No […]
Seeing the Light in 2016
The holiday season has a lot to do with light. Finding the light, seeking the light, and basking in the light of our friends, our families and the special spirituality of the season. A time for reflection, imagination and for seeing the world for more than the mundane, we often mistake it for.
Some Red and Green for the Holidays
In my practice, I work with a variety of subjects and mediums, loving the process as much as the product. When I want to be free to express and experiment with brushwork and colour, I often turn to simple food items and paint them from imagination.

– Winifred Milius Lubell 1914-2012
What was Once a Home
“What was Once a Home” is a series of drawings that documents foreclosed homes in the Chicago area.
Cityscapes
New York, London, Rome, Budapest are some of the towns which delight me.
The drawings are strongly inspired by these cities or they show an amalgamation of any of these exisiting places. It takes between two weeks and half a year to finish each piece, altough I work on several pieces at the time.
Shame to Pride Project
Art can be a powerful tool. It is only in the past year I have learned to use my art making a way to transform my shame into self-acceptance. Last summer, I returned to my childhood home, an abandoned schoolhouse, to create art from the things my mother hoarded over the years and explore questions […]
