Christmas markets show they’re special in eastern Germany with annual events that highlight regional traditions and local craftsmanship featuring their own unique touches, such as a Miners’ Parade in the ancient mining town of Freiberg and kids’ elf services in Annaberg with its rich tradition of handmade wooden toys.

Sri Lanka is a tropical paradise packed full of captivating contrasts. Along with an intriguing past that has produced ancient cities and religious relics, this diminutive yet delightful island boasts lush jungles, beautiful beaches, colonial architecture, and colourful coral reefs.
I like to cook. But I’m a busy person. For most of my meals, I try to come up with something that’s made from scratch, with ingredients that were grown, and/or raised humanely. I stay away from overly processed foods about 90% of the time. Here’s a few examples of my most popular half-scratch meals.
