Being heavily inspired by Artists who create work that pushes the boundaries on a particular esthetic, I see my work as being accessible to a wide audience due to the esthetic choices I make and the themes I am willing to explore.
Sail Away
Following a stormy week the skies started to clear and the sea calmed enough to this sailor to head out of the safe harbour for the next destination. As I painted this 24×30 I thought of the old quote “Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover”.

“What I dream of is an art of balance, purity and serenity devoid of troubling or depressing subject matter – a soothing calming influence on the mind rather like a good armchair which provides relaxation from physical fatigue.” – Henri Matisse

“All of us, women and men, are just beginning to grasp the significance of both iconography and myth, beginning to understand that they represent a history of a large part of the life force of this planet.”
– Winifred Milius Lubell 1914-2012
