Too many people in this world are guilty of pretending to understand things in order to avoid embarrassment. That’s just silly. You are depriving yourself of an opportunity to increase your knowledge
The Entry into Single Life at 45
As times change our whole concept of relationships being long term has as well. I don’t believe this is a positive thing, I truly think we have lost something as a society. However, this said, we are also allowed to accept that it does happen and to live a full life after this. We need to look at all things as a climb to some great conscious awareness about life and living. Writing this article was a way to let all women know who are my age, or close to it, that despite societies need to make our life’s significance dependent on attachment to another, there is a profound enlightenment, which only comes with discovery of your inner self. What the Ocean Taught Me
Life can bring constant commotion – often making us feel dizzy with excitement and with exhaustion. In my life I am always trying to find a way to steady the swirling which frequently flings my life off-course. The goal is to ultimately find personal growth in the chaos.

Tribute to a Most Inspiring Woman
I have been a hospice volunteer, working with dying patients, for several years. I know – the thought of spending time with people who are dying sounds very depressing, and it may be for many. I do not find it depressing at all – I find it highly inspiring and enriching.
Lost Geese, Lost Humans
Geese usually fly to the border states and Mexico in the winter. They don’t winter in Iowa. But given the signals they’ve been getting, perhaps Iowa felt right the first week of January.
No Trespassing
Sometimes our hearts need to be guarded until we love ourselves enough to be able to put it at risk again.
Sowing Seeds and Planting Flags
Do you need to increase your sales? Or perhaps enhance your marketing efforts? There are many business people who confuse cold calling with what I am about to describe. That’s unfortunate because incorrect terminology can get in the way of understanding concepts and put up barriers to acceptance.
Grace Under Pressure
Most of us never fully understand how some people suffer from non-visible afflictions, every day. How we might better learn to “be there” for them is up to us to understand.
