I am an atom
a single embodiment
of anything you want me to be
shaped only by current philosophy

I am an atom
founded in your scientific and artistic reincarnation
of the creation story
all done in myth and history
you did me before and accurately
while fighting the same me and the same wars
all in the name of atrocities

I am an atom
angry at a machine promoting hateful acts
against one man
one humanity

I am an atom
standing here on the brink of environmental disaster
and yet you fail to see me
in any media feed downtrodden by media imagery
not beautiful pictures of trees and my family

I am an atom
and you, you
all are the story writers
of me
and I am begging all of you
begging and begging you
to finally set me free
