Building The Manhattan Bridge In 1909

Irving Underhill (1827 -1960) took this picture on March 23rd, 1909 of the construction of the Manhattan Bridge. You can see the marine terminal in the foreground and the bridge under construction in the background. An amazing piece of engineering for the time!
