Post Script
This may be the wine talking. Or it may be my inability to admit defeat to a kitchen appliance. But let the record show that despite of the universe conspiring against me, I was able to pull off a pretty darn good cookie.

Cookies vs. Oven by Sarah Gignac
Very funny! I had a comparable situation..except my cookies didn’t turn out well!
Just moved house and have discovered that new kitchen is not as conducive to major cooking (am qualified baker) as the old one. I just like ovens that turn OFF/ON which I don’t have to programme and kitchen aids that work without needing a degree in maths or electrical engineering.
You can cook almost any thing by keeping it simple and not letting those slick salespersons sell you stuff you don’t need!
Looks like you did a good job! I bet the cookies were delicious!
Fun stuff, Sarah – at least fun for us to read about π
Thanks Mary!
You are freaking hilarious!! Awesome article!
And glad you are my new editor!! π Good luck!
