So much has been made about 10-10-10 (October 10, 2010) that I decided to have a look around the web and see what people think is going to happen. I found some amazing examples of humans coming together to take action and create a positive future for our planet, taking initiative where our leaders have failed.
And I found stuff I just don’t know 
how to think about without raising my eyebrows.
I mean, I’ve got my own beliefs some people consider a bit out there. For instance, I tend to believe in reincarnation and ghosts and ESP. But I’ve come to the conclusion that either I’m too cynical or too smart to fully appreciate the channeling of entities with a particular interest in October 10, 2010.
Good old Agrippa wrote, “Ten is called the number of all or universal, and the complete number marking the full course of life.” Yay for Agrippa but suddenly people are obsessed with everything that adds up to the number 10. Did you know there are ten chapters in Genesis that talk about the history of the world? There were apparently ten weeks of years from Noah to Abraham until the moment when Abraham fathered Isaac. The number 10 is used 244 times in the Bible. Oh, and Bo Derek starred in a movie called 10.
So here goes — 10-10-10’s best and weirdest…
#1 A Day of Action for Our Planet

According to the website Polaris the message of 10-10-10 is about this:
“You have come to a time in your life, both as an individual and collectively as the mass of humanity, whereupon change is no longer avoidable. All who attend to the encoding contained within the symbolic numerals 10-10-10 will be attuned to an energy frequency change. This attunement is available to all, whether or not there is awareness of it on a conscious level. The attunement helps gather resources necessary to support further and more noticeable change later on. It helps you regain lost knowledge about your life path. It helps you remember your connection to All That Is.”

On the website Lightworkers, a person named Phoenix Rising Star writes:
“I asked the angels about the significance of 10-10-10. Archangel Gabriel replied: 10-10-10 is the new beginnings on a spiritual level. Like the quickening prior to birth, it is the signal of change. It is the feeling of something different, even if you’re not sure exactly what that is. It is the sensation of movement. It is the knowing without knowing how you know, that everything you’ve perceived as normal up to this time is now changing faster and more intensely than ever before….”

10-10-10 is a banner dates for couples planning to marry. According to wedding planners around the world, couples are clamouring to tie the knot on this date. The same thing apparently happened on 9-9-9.

If you want a good scare and you are an American, watch this interview with Dmitri Olov by Russia Today. Ok, so he’s talking about 10-10, not 10-10-10 but it’s close enough. After all, the end of the year is just two and a half months away.

#7 I Just Don’t Know What to Believe!
This one takes the prize and, frankly, if it happens, I’m going to be sorry I missed the party. It’s from Lynne Hayes, posted on the website Astrological Musings!:

So, I hope tomorrow is a great day for people coming together to help the planet, in whichever way works for them. 10-10-10 will be a special day — one way or the other.
So I woke up this morning and the world from yesterday was gone. It’s all new today. How weird is that.
