Part 2 is a continuation in the series of oil stick paintings, recording figures passing through or waiting in rail stations. Referring back to this theme it continues in other paintings like “Liberty” or “All Saints”, representing as with everything we do in life, moving or even in stillness towards an unknown destination.
Imagined Train Stations – Part 1
I tend to paint in an impressionistic, realist style, recording figures passing through a moment of time, migrating to an unknown place or opening, represented by a source of light. I am working on a series of paintings that speak to some of these moments and passages in the form of imagined trains.
