There were periods of time when I would be stuck in a rut. I’m sure that every guitar player has at some point “hit a brick wall”. It’s really frustrating. Some people spend long periods of time playing the same things and not evolving. This can be very demotivating and lead people to enter a long hiatus or, worse, quit playing the instrument with no intention of “getting back on the saddle”. I’m part of the first category and I can give you some tips on how to avoid that darn rut.
