Talk is cheap. I realize that. But, and I speak for myself, am guilty of talking a good game, or having the best of intentions, but as the saying goes: “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
Talking and contemplating the status of one’s life is fine, but after the realization of the issues that need to be addressed or worked on, there needs to be action. Pinpointing the issues should be one of the first steps. Been there, done that.
In my case, and maybe others may share similar issues, I was a 15 year old run away who was forced to grow up and was taken advantage of by an adult. That was just the beginning of the proverbial snowball effect. I could go on and on.
Since then, I have had MANY issues. Eventually, in my typical half-assed attempts, I sought help from a therapist. I was diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depression disorder, or MADD… oh the irony.
I have been prescribed meds to deal with my issue, but Prozac can only do so much. Up to me, the individual, to do the rest. We need to realize and understand, look for help if and when needed. It’s out there, even though it doesn’t seem like it.
Also, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to see WHY things are the way they are… the cause. We also need to be proactive, setting ourselves up for success. And we also have to stick to it. There will be hurdles and obstacles, but we can’t let it stop us.
Of course I’ll continue to share and keep everyone posted. One of the realizations I have come across is that I am not alone. I’m sure others share the same experiences I have. Everyone hurts, but pain is temporary. Need to find the solutions and remedies.
