Spring
March to June is spring in New York. Spring sees light drizzles every now and then making it pleasant. May is known as the wettest month. Even though it does tend to get wet in spring, the rains are not torrential. The light rain is more than bearable.
Parks are the best places to be during spring and New York has no shortage of beautiful parks. You can see the beautiful annual Orchid Show at the Botanical Gardens. For a unique experience, you can go to the Butterfly Conservatory at the American Museum of Natural History. Spring is the time when thousands of caterpillars transform into butterflies and roam freely in the conservatory.
Summer
From June to September you can enjoy summer in New York. Summers can get a little hot with the maximum temperature reaching 100°F (38°C). you can enjoy a sunny day picnicking at a park under the cool shade of trees. Summers are best for enjoying the waters around New York. Cruises from Manhattan are a relaxing way of cooling off during the hot summers. Shoppers find Summer to be the best time to beat the heat and indulge in some shopping. You can even head away from the city to the Hamptons.
Fall
September to December is fall in New York. Just like Spring, Fall in New York is mild. Unlike Spring, Fall is generally dry. While Spring is the best time to watch New York’s greenery coming to life, Fall is the season to see New Your change into its winter shades. The weather being stable and comfortable, it is the time for outdoorsy activities. Enjoy visiting rooftop farms which are there all around the city. Winter
December to March sees New York turn into a cold snowy city. Christmas in New York is a dream vacation for many. While Christmas in New York can be crowded and messy, it has its own charms. If you cannot make it for Christmas then New Year is another festive occasion to not miss. Going there during the holiday season might be a little more expensive but the experience is worth every penny.
