There was a girl
Loved and adored by everyone
A girl who’s always smiling
Even at the littlest things
She always has your back
Whenever you need her
She would give you anything
She would help you with anything
But doesn’t ask for anything in return
She’s like an angel according to her family
She’s a hard worker who asks many questions according to her teachers
She enjoys having fun and joking around with her friends
But if you look at her closely, you will realize
She wasn’t always like that…
If you look closely
You can see that every time,
She turns away from her friends
Her smile disappears and she becomes another person
A sad person…
You will see
A lonely girl who hides her insecurities
At the littlest unnecessary things…
Yet she tries to make others happy
When asked if she’s alright?
She just smiles and says,“Yeah, I’m just tired”
Then goes back to having fun and joking around with her friends
Trying to get lost in the moments
And forget all her pain…
Those words, “I’m just tired”
Are not the kind that sleep can heal
But the kind of tiredness of being let down over and over
The kind of tired when your hard work goes wasted
The kind of tired of pretending to be happy…
Those words have many meanings
Just like those smiles which hold many stories…
Which you’ll never find out,
But you are lucky to know what’s wrong
Otherwise it will remain…
A mystery
