Have you had a moment in your life when you found yourself standing at the edge of a fire? Feeling a pull towards a kind of transformation. It could be falling in love, taking a career leap, or embracing your true self. Sometimes, fearing change, you turn away from the heat. Sometimes you meet it with a kiss and dance in the flames in spite of the risk.
Art making is my fire. I work intuitively, using intense color to create abstract paintings that reach for the light. It seems the more I lose myself in the work, the more it blazes onto the canvas.

I am an artist living in the heart of Phoenixville, PA. Art is my passion. For me painting is an intuitive and emotional experience. I’m inspired by the raw energy of creation and nature. I share my art making journey through my blog “Behind The Studio Door”. My work has been displayed in galleries and shows. I received a BFA in Illustration/Painting from Marywood College in 1995.

Somehow I stumbled upon this website. Cool picture! As an “artist” myself (aka writer) – I appreciate the standing on the edge of a fire concept. I feel like I live there. 🙂
Phoenixville? No way! Do you have other pieces online I can see?
Thanks for the “cool” comment:) I think most creatives intuitively can relate to fire. I’m just finding my back to my artmaking and I have work on my website http://www.siobhanbedford.com
