With everything going on in the world today, it seems to be increasingly difficult to find much of anything to bring our spirits up again after a physically, emotionally and even spiritually exhausting day. Every day is a battle and you who are reading this have made it through one more of those battles. You are a winner.
It’s important to find the thing(s) in life that help you gather yourself. Whether it be friends and family, shopping, going out of your way to help someone in need or just being alone. As Mark Twain said:
“The best way to cheer yourself up is to cheer somebody else up.”
For me, the things that help me find peace would be art, both creating and observing, as well as passing on my blessings, wisdom and experience to those who could have need of them. After all, I believe the reason why we are blessed is to bless other people. We didn’t just stumble into our blessings and riches, they are gifts. Yet it’s these things that can take our minds off of who we are when we begin to let them define us. From my experience, the things that we love to do, that recharge our minds, bodies and spirits are the very things that define us. In my case, I am an artist and a giver.
Who are you?
