I just can’t do it. Can’t climb that hill. Can’t face that obstacle. Can’t learn what I need to learn to get that job. Can’t keep going. Really? Are you sure?
Whenever someone said I can’t in in the dojo, my Sensei would say … ‘You are right.’
Next time you say, I can’t, consider Paul Smith. A man who was born with severe cerebral palsy … yet … is an amazing artist, using a canvas you would never imagine could yield results.
When someone says I can’t to Paul Smith, he answers: ‘What can you do?’
Watch this … and then the next time you are about to say, I can’t, think about Paul Smith.
Then ask yourself … why not?
Thank you Paul for your amazing spirit!
A big thank you to my fine friend Mauro A for sending me this video!

So great to see how one person can make such a difference in life to so many others, simply by being themselves; whatever that looks like. Great share Gil, thanks as always
Thanks David!
Can’t? Whatever! Sometimes we are put to shame how little of ourselves we use, whether brain or body, only to be reminded there is nothing we can’t do if we truly want to. Can ON!
Thanks Steve!
Thanks for sharing, Gil…wow. I can’t even begin to wrap my head around what he does…but not just that, I love the man he’s chosen to be. Although we all may be dealing with challenges of some sort, stories like this are reminders to be grateful for where we are in life and make the best of what we do have. “What can we do?” An excellent question.
Carol
Indeed Carol … an excellent question!
I love the man he’s chosen to be … WELL SAID!!!

That blew my mind! What an outstanding example of what becomes possible when you work with what you have, instead of focusing on what you don’t.
Also a crazy example of the idea that constraint actually enables creativity rather than restricting it. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Debra,
Glad you enjoyed it! I have another coming soon that will also blow your mind!
Cheers,
Gil
A most inspirational reminder that whatever happens in life we always have our unique individual talents to continually accompany us and assist us in bringing happiness to others and ourselves in return.
Heather
