Today let’s talk about being invisible.
If I am invisible and no one sees me, then no one can hurt me.
My friend told me she used to watch me walk into our Sunday School class, trying to slide into the back and disappear into the crowd. I was well known and well regarded within that world, so she said it never worked, but she watched me do it anyway. She said I had enough charisma that I could influence a whole room full of people by my attitude, but I didn’t want to hear that – it would mean people were seeing me. It took a long time to see how I tried to be invisible and how harmful that was to my world. When I started just being myself and letting my light so shine before all men, life became more natural and it was very freeing!
Have you ever found yourself trying to disappear and become invisible?
