President John F. Kennedy in his historic message to a joint session of the Congress,
on May 25, 1961 declared …
“I believe this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal,
before this decade is out, of landing a man on the Moon
and returning him safely to the Earth.”
This goal was achieved when astronaut Neil A. Armstrong became
the first human to set foot upon the Moon at 10:56 p.m. EDT, July 20, 1969.

Thank you Neil Armstrong for your remarkable and intrepid spirit.
Thank you JFK for your courage and your amazing vision.
The fruits of your efforts remain an inspiration to us all and serve as a constant reminder of what is possible when humans work together, even when the goal seems so unachievable.
