Words. They have the power to heal and to hurt. To bring peace and to start wars. They can soothe, they can burn, they can bring order or they can cause chaos.
My wife sent this video to me a few weeks ago and I meant to share it then, but I got sidetracked. It came to me again this morning via an e-mail from Julia McLean. So Collie and Julia, thank you. If we can all learn to use our words in a positive and loving way, we’d understand and respect each others difference and have a much better world to live in.

I cried when I read the words that the lady used to replace the man’s old sign. This video clip made me realize how blessed most of us are, regardless of nationality, culture, color of the skin or religion. Not only are the choice of words powerful, but to empathize with a person who is handicapped in any way is such a moving experience.

This was so inspiring. I always enjoy helping people in need as much as possible but this…this is unbelieveable how she helped that man. I loved it! Thanks sooo much for sharing it. Truly made tears role down my face. To anybody who has ever walked by someone, whether their sign said what the man had wrote or what the girl wrote for him, and not helped them out, SHAME ON YOU. I know you never know whether they are telling the truth or not but be a caring human and still share your wealth. If they are lying, they will get what’s coming to them sooner or later.

Hi Gil,
Very effective video, you just want to give that woman a hug, or at least treat her to dinner, hehe.
Kudo’s to your wife and also to writer Julia McLean for finding this video.
