I came across this short video today while using StumbleUpon. I find it thought provoking and want to share it with you.
It asks a question: What if the world’s population was reduced to a community of 100 people? How would that small village look? How would it’s nationalities, religions and economies break out?
This video answers that question in a way that is easy to grasp and is powerful food for thought.
This video comes from The Miniature Earth website.

WOW Gil!
This really put things in a very clear perspective !
I am forwarding this page to a lot of people and hope they will take the time to look at it.
Thanks for caring as you do and for finding ways to make people reflect on their blessings.
Hopefully too, giving us all the wish to make a positive difference wherever and whenever we can.

“IT’S SOMEONE ELSE…. SOMEWHERE ELSE… SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW”
For the past fourteen years I have resided deep within the canyons and arroyos of New Mexico, learning the tales of those who came before us…. etched on walls, inside of caves or on the cliffs that I climb outside of my door…. although lost in the past — I am tied to the moment with every kind of device, so that I may also hear the stories of the day…
… the globe is a canvas, now painted with tales of floods, massive droughts, earthquakes, fires, hurricanes, and weather patterns that are new to the caretakers of charts during this epoch…. people are hungry, have lost their homes, crops are in peril….
and…
…. yet as I walk through the village of the wee burg I call home, I hear the whispered words of the people – “… isn’t it terrible – the events that have taken place around the globe….” and “Thank goodness we aren’t affected – it’s over there – it’s someone else…. over the rainbow…”
…. some time ago a wise old scribe (Kermit the Frog) wrote …”.. a long time ago they used to take canaries down into the coal mines to warn the workers when the oxygen was getting low. When your canary died, you knew it was time to get out quick — It turns out that frogs act as barometers for the health of the earth . When we start to go, so goes the neighborhood…” [1]
The Community of 100 is not that far fetched ….. I hope my village is listening…..
