Rosie goes to see the movie “Burlesque” and finds the only thing connecting this movie to her beloved art form and profession are a glue gun and a bedroom stocking tease!
I went to see the movie Burlesque and was saddened but not surprised to see that it really had very little to do with my genre of performance. So check out Vlog #1 below to see my review of the movie Burlesque — what was good, what it missed and what actual burlesque was hiding in the movie. And then check out Vlog #2 to see clips from a live burlesque show, The Burlesque Bonanza, that I attended this past weekend ( I threw in a few clips of me performing, just for good measure). This clip is made up of real live Burlesque performers (some of them my former students): J. McLaughlin, Moira Arcblow, Ginger Kittens, Punky Screwster, Lolly Lushbottom, Jett MaJique, Randii Andii and Gala Davitch.
