The Dodge Challenger was one of the truly iconic muscle cars of the 1970s. Known for its sleek design and serious power under the hood, it’s a classic American muscle car with no equal. In 2008, Dodge reissued the classic Challenger, styled after the original version, and it’s really taken off in popularity!
This newest generation of Challenger is a customizable dream with Dodge offering 10 different trim packages, and a host of options that allows you to personalize your ride. For 2017, the company has consolidated the Challenger Scat Pack and Shaker variations to add yet another new trim level to the lineup!
Old Versus New: Dodge Challenger T/A
The 2017 Dodge Scat Pack
The standard Challenger is styled after the famous, iconic 1971 model. The new Challenger Scat Pack includes the 392-hemi engine and new smooth styling that makes this model even more visually engaging. The trim combines elements of both the Scat Pack and Shaker packages.
The Shaker bundle contributes the aggressive hood and scoop along with the satin black stripes that run the length of the car, with the Shaker identification under the hood. The Scat Pack package includes 20-inch clean amalgam wheels embellished with a glossy silk wrap up and dark accents. It also adds the 392 ID badge to the hood scoop and the distinctive Bumble Bee ID badge fitted on the bumpers.
For 2017 the Dodge Scat Pack Shaker 392 Hemi will feature all of the current Challenger paint choices along with several new exciting hues! The new model will be offered with Dodge’s biggest powerplant to date, the 6.4-liter V8, which will produce 485 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque. This powerful motor will take the Challenger from 0 to 60 in about 4.5 seconds and will be coupled with either a 6-speed manual of ZF eight-speed programmed gearbox.
On The Inside
The 2017 Dodge Challenger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker will offer most of the features of the Shaker package including perforated leather seats offering both heating and cooling with the Shaker logo on the headrests and contrasted stitching, unique pedals, a sports steering wheel, a Shaker dashboard and Shaker graphics on the 8.4-inch media system with a USB port and TFT display.
The 2017 Scat Pack Shaker will add another layer of sophistication to the Challenger line and is destined to be a classic!
