You don’t have to live in a huge mansion to create a library of books in your home. The key for anybody who is living in a home that is fairly small is to efficiently utilize space. There are some fabulous ideas that anybody can try for elegant and outrageous book storage. Every room in your home can double up as a small usable library. However, it would depend on how energetic and creative you are feeling, and of course, how much you value books enough to put time and effort to create a suitable home for them. Here are some ideas that will surely reduce your storage worries and keep your books safe and sound.
The Long Hall
For anybody who has only moved into a new home, the hall is often the place where they pile up their books while searching for some cubby-hole to store them. Even though the majority of us have good intentions, sometimes the book piles are still there months later, because storage is seen as a problem rather than a perfect way to bring an ambiance to the living space.
A hall is a very long room, and it is perfect for converting into a library. All you need is some shelves, and the space has suddenly become useful. If you are fortunate enough to have a closet in your hall, this can be converted with shelving to turn it into a mini library room that will impress your friends.
The Dining Room
Space needs to be made to function correctly, and this is especially true for those dead areas that you don’t spend much time standing around in. They serve no purpose, but with books and shelves, you can give them one. Bookcases at the back of the settee or that bare wall in the dining room are both candidates for a bookworm makeover.
The Bedroom
In my opinion, the bedroom is where you do the majority of your reading, so it is a terrific place to build a place for your literature. You could go for his-and-her type of bookshelves on either side of the bed, or the unusual bookcase headboard which could be a mix of both.
Even if you choose a condo for sale at Zipmatch and are thinking about ideas to decorate your new home; don’t forget books. A small piece of real estate in the Philippines can be turned into a book haven if you just put some time and creativity to your living space.
The art of storing all types of literature around your new home is just as significant as any other decorative items such as plants, pictures and ornaments. Used wisely, they can give some exceptional and surreal results. If your family loves to read, another idea is to create areas for different styles of books such as love, horror, sci-fi, mystery and whodunits.
