He came into my life eight months ago. It’s hard to believe so much time has passed already. We were able to spend these past few months really getting to know each other. My husband didn’t mind that I put aside time just for this special guy in my life. Sometimes my husband would actually join in on our antics. The three of us would really let go and have fun.
Is he handsome? That is a silly question. He is gorgeous, and when he smiles, his smile just fills my heart with such joy! Now that he has teeth his smile is even more wonderful to look at. He’s proud of his new teeth and so he should be; those teeth were really difficult to get. He had spent a lot of sleepless nights waiting for his teeth to arrive. So when they did it was a momentous occasion!
Not only does he have the most brilliant smile to cross any face ever, he also has piercing blue eyes. Pools of blue that reflect light and draw you in. When he looks at you he studies your face. He does this on a regular basis; everything just seems to stop as he stares into your eyes and looks into your soul. And then the spell is broken and he goes back to what he was doing before.
He’s smart too. Along with good looks, it helps to have some smarts as well and he sure has that going for him. He seems to sometimes be more advanced than most his age and maybe I am just biased but that is how it appears to me. He is very verbal and chats constantly. I suppose this is part of the reason I love him so much: he just loves to talk. So we can have some pretty interesting conversations.
The perfect man, you might say, is good-looking, smart, funny and athletic. He is drawn to any kind of activity involving movement. He loves to climb and stretch and kick and, sometimes, even crawl. He is just always in motion; moving about really does him a lot of good. I need to try and keep up with him. Following his example would certainly benefit my own health and well-being.
This Valentine’s Day I suppose I will be one lucky woman, surrounded by two fabulous men: my husband and of course the one I speak so fondly of. He is a gift that I never thought I would receive; he is love. He is my grandson, and he is all of the above.
