This series of paintings is done with acrylic and rust. I love working with rust. You start out with grey iron drained in acrylic, and it’s not until a few days later through oxidation that you can see the final result, which is always surprising and out of my control. This is a very exciting process to me since the outcome of the different shades of rust is unpredictable.
Besides the technique the title of this series is called Fortschritt (progression).
But is every progression really one ?
I am not a radical environmental activist, but find the title to be some food for thought.
