Cathy Chalvignac Artist Bio
Cathy Chalvignac is a talented artist who was born in Paris, France, in 1954. After spending her childhood years in Montreal she returned to Paris to study art at age 19. Cathy developed her love of ethnicity and culture while traveling Thailand, Sri Lanka, the Maldive Islands, India and Mexico, where she has lived for the past 30 years.
Cathy, an experimental artist and photographer, works in acrylic, watercolors and mixed media, designing furniture, mirrors, boxes and coconut handbags. Cathy’s art reflects her travels in India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Maldive Islands. She has exhibited in numerous galleries in Mexico and has created a delightful gypsy caravan on her property in Ajijic, Mexico.

I recently purchased a coconut purse, hand painted – with what appears to be Ms Cathy Chalvignac’s name in the lower right portion near a zipper – would be curious to know if she did in fact paint this purse and if there are any other websites that i might go to to find other pictures of similar items.
