I am embarking on a new chapter of my life. It has been happening so fast, with little to no effort. So much so that when I sit back and think about it I become overwhelmed. I deserve good things, we all do! We just have to be reminded of that sometimes and believe it.
Finding happiness that you have created, and not happiness created by another is of the utmost importance. If you can’t find happiness in the silence of your thoughts, you will never be able to find it with another.
This I have learned the hard way. There is no room to better oneself if you are not able to learn from mistakes made. Sometimes our mistakes recur; until we cross paths with someone who helps us believe in ourselves again.
When you meet that person, take care of them. Take care of their love and don’t hold back out of fear or past transgressions. Remember there is a reason you have fallen in love with them and let your heart guide you. Don’t think twice, you’ll hesitate if you do. Take a deep breath; say a little prayer and JUMP. You’ll find you made the right choice and if you didn’t… Well that’s another one of those lessons you were meant to learn. Don’t look back and think what could have been, keep your eyes forward and keep walking. We are all destined for great things with lots of smiles and laughter. The biggest challenge is just accepting that.
“No matter what our achievements might be, we think well of ourselves only in rare moments. We need people to bear witness against our inner judge, who keeps book on our shortcomings and transgressions. We need people to convince us that we are not as bad as we think we are.” ~ Eric Hoffer

Such a beautiful and necessary message, Amia! Too often we seek in another what we already possess within us – including happiness.
