Today let’s talk about keeping it simple.
Has it ever seemed like your world is terribly complicated?
That you just go from one crisis to the next? I had learned to seek out and perpetuate crisis from growing up in an alcoholic household, and thrived on the rush of constant upsets in my world. I discovered that much of the crisis was about troubles I generated for myself, or chaos which existed only in my mind. Everything was treated like a crisis, so there were no calm events. I had to learn to simplify my life – instead of the gas gauge on my car always being on empty and worrying about running out of gas, I started filling up my tank well before that point, and didn’t have to worry about it any more. I kept it simple, and things have been a lot more calm in my world.
Has it ever been tough to keep things simple?
