Today let’s talk about “go the distance.”
Yes, it’s the line from Field of Dreams, but boy, it’s a good one.
Have you ever felt like you just didn’t have the energy to fight against your problems any more?
When I have felt like that, I remember that line – Go the distance! I wore it as a shoe tag running my first marathon, to remind me never to give up, but keep moving forward. It’s also a good concept in life – I might not get very far each day, but if I’m still moving, still trying, that’s a good day! If I make a little progress toward working out my problems, or implementing solutions, it gives me heart to face the events of tomorrow. Going the distance may just be getting through the day! But it can be very freeing to make a commitment to keep going!
In working through problems, have you ever struggled to keep going?
