Wake up
get out of bed
and go outside
yourself
Embrace the field you have
no matter how shabby
it appears to be
Breathe
Take your shovel
and dig, diligently
until the ground is good
and loose
Plant whatever seeds you have
gently cover them over
and water daily
Breathe
When sprouts appear
keep a watch
for the fierce, wild ones
and water only those
When the harvest comes
forgive the world
for giving you more
than you could possibly
have dreamed of

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And Dr. Watkins, yes, I have studied the origins of yoga. Among my many hats is yoga teacher actually. Perhaps that influenced this poem.
