Or maybe it’s because she’s created sock monkey oracle cards, coloring books, paintings, and other licensed merchandise.
But that's only one color in her crayon box, and Shannon likes to create with them all. The rest of the time, Shannon is an author, artist, television producer/host, songwriter, and goofball who carries her camera with her everywhere she goes.

New Life For An Old Chair
Each year, the Hollister Downtown Association or HDA as we call it here, hosts a Charming Chairs Event to benefit the association. Members of the community decorate a chair and then we auction them off at the Open Studio Preview Exhibit. I was looking for an “interesting” chair, and one with an easy surface to decorate.
