When we thought things couldn’t get worse, they did, and the people of New York stood up by Making A Statement for what they believe in.
When driving through Manhattan, all I saw was pain and boarded up buildings. Art became a form of expression on the streets, specifically graffiti, with “black lives matters” and related designs painted on the wooden slates. Everyone has forms of expressing themselves and it’s important to have an outlet during these challenging times.
This is the time for Making A Statement. Whatever that means to you, stand up for what you believe in. Someone will hear you.
A portion of proceeds for “Making A Statement” will be donated to a charity in NYC. For more information about Kristy Lee Art, please visit www.kristyleeart.com.

Guest Artist Bio
Kristy Lee
My practice as an artist is constantly evolving, exploring the complexity of my mind to create. I am inspired by all that is around me, good and bad, happiness and sadness, my art is full of shapes and colors, and conveys beauty and emotion to the observer.
I enjoy challenging reality a bit. Women are a large part of my practice and inspiration, represented as strong and powerful, transmitting all the force of nature that we contain within ourselves.
Being free from specific styles, my art changes day after day and I challenge myself in new directions, making my work unique. Art means freedom to create without boundaries and end with a product of its own, original and different, that nourished my soul.
