While quarantine is a moment filled with uncertainty, you can also seek comfort and joy instead of feeling alone.
Instead of worrying about a slower lifestyle, coronavirus, or feeling alone, use your break to pamper yourself, grow your skills, and reconnect with your loved ones.
To help you, we have compiled the following suggestions that will keep you busy, productive, and entertained while quarantined.
Decorate Your Space
The extended time indoor is an excellent opportunity to tackle long-avoided home projects.
Whether it’s an empty wall begging for a splendid piece of canvas wall art or an old piece of furniture that demands a DIY makeover, now is the time to indulge yourself in home decor.
Rearrange your furniture in a new layout or bring out that “special occasion” dinner set. Restyle your bookshelves and switch decor accents in rooms.
Take over cleaning and organizing projects. Clean up your yard and prepare your planters for new growth. Don’t forget to pay attention to your walls. Redo your wall hangings or touch up the paint if you have a few cans of paint in your homes.
Take a tour of your home, and you will find a lot of cleaning, organizing, and decorating things to do.
Learn A New Online Course
Maybe you wanted to learn a new skill or need time to prepare to switch to a better job. Or, you probably wanted to learn something creative, like calligraphy, Photoshop, craft, or anything alike.
Quarantine may be a perfect time to learn something new, as it gives you lots of free time to think about your career.
There are plenty of online learning courses to soak up knowledge on just about anything you can think of.
So wake up your inner student and give your brain a workout with classes in everything from cooking to fashion to web development to languages.
Enroll in the desired course, sit in your pajamas, and learn straight from the comfort of your couch.
Spend Time Reading
If you are an avid reader, quarantine is a golden time for you. Rub off the dust on your book collection, and read as much as you can.
Even if you are not a huge fan of reading, it’s a great time to be a reader. After all, reading is a creative exercise for your brain. It introduces you to new ideas and improves your problem-solving ability.
Reading increases your cultural knowledge and challenges your imagination. And, science says that reading makes you a better person.
Reading ten books means living ten lives! So decide how many lives you want to live in just a few months.
Back in Shape
Probably, a hectic lifestyle is a popular excuse when someone points at belly flab. During normal days, we often struggle between office, home chores, gym, etc.
But, now when we have plenty of time, why not move from flab to fab.
The good news is you don’t need to wake up at the alarm. Wake up at your own time yet indulge in a physical workout. Meditate and give your body good stretches in the morning and the evening.
Final Words
There are literally thousands of things you can do under quarantine, but you don’t need to feel pressured to emerge as a Master-chef or an artist. With no meetings to attend and no deadlines to meet, it’s okay to do absolutely nothing. Take frequent naps, daydream, or just stargaze. It’s your time, so enjoy it the way you like.
