For our regular authors, please enter your posts directly into this form. Please be sure you are following the submission guidelines Submitting an article to Life As A Human version 4. You can post as many in a row as you like. Your submissions will be queued up for publishing as soon as possible.
Please note the important following changes:
- IMPORTANT! If you clicked the SUBMIT button and the form brought you back up here, something went wrong. Scroll down and the areas that need attention will be highlighted for you.
- Stories can no longer be submitted via e-mail. You must use this form.
- You can upload up to four photos using the online form. If you have more photos, please email Gil for instructions.
- Stories need to be less than 1000 words. If you have a longer story, we suggest publishing it in excerpts. Just mark your post Part 1, Part 2 etc. and we are happy to run the excerpts on consecutive nights.
- All photos must either be owned by you, taken by you or be Creative Commons or Public Domain. If they come from an online source, we need the author’s name, and the URL where you found the photo. If the photo doesn’t meet our copyright requirements, we will find a new image. Pease Note: Submissions send in without images may take longer to publish or may be published without images if nothing suitable can be found.
- Please enter a Title for each image you submit. The Title will be what shows up when a reader hovers over the image and will also be indexed by search engines. DCS_1234.jpg means nothing to a search engine or to the reader.
- Stories can take up to two weeks to publish. If your story is timely, please put the words TIME SENSITIVE in the headline. We will do our utmost to ensure the story publishes asap and we will delete these words upon publication.
- Please check your spelling and punctuation before you submit. While we do provide, ‘copy editing’, we will not provide extensive ‘content editing’. Please edit your work and proofread it carefully before submitting. If your submission does not read well or is full of errors, we will ask you to re-submit a properly edited version.
