About Julie Harrison

Julie is a girl (okay, she knows she’s not really a girl anymore, but run with it, alright?) who has taken her “useless” English degree (okay, two English degrees – don’t laugh!) and made a go of it.

Her 9-to-5 life has included jobs as a proofreader, agency account exec, corporate communications specialist, part-time prof and change management advisor. Most recently, she is the corporate communications manager for a high-tech company in Ottawa, Canada.

She likes to write on her coffee breaks or when she can’t sleep. Her writing appears on her personal blog Coffee with Julie as well as in The Ottawa Citizen newspaper, Adventura magazine, and Tripsketch online.

She is mother to two small children and is a terribly un-trained wife to a well-trained husband.
