JC Scott heads the team at eco Design Gallery. As an artist and designer, he has been creating ecological environments for over 30 years from studios in Chinatown, Victoria, British Columbia. JC’s love of nature began while growing up in farm country, fostered further through becoming a boy scout and a camper and boater at an early age. Cycling, boating, camping and hiking remain passions that get him outdoors as often as possible today.

JC was introduced to environmentalism as a topic at university through Pollution Probe while studying heritage architecture at Queen's University, Kingston, ON. He set up his design practice immediately upon graduation on the west coast, painting murals, doing graphic design, slowly evolving into creating entire nightclub, pub and restaurant interiors like the Commodore Ballroom and The Teahouse Restaurant in Vancouver.

After years of generating award winning and cutting edge designs in markets ranging from ecological resort communities to major commercial projects, JC and his team have committed to only working on sustainable design projects and are ready to tackle projects of any size and in any location, from remote eco resorts to the finest residential estates.

JC studied Cultural Resource Management at the University of Victoria and has been very involved in the community for the past three decades, including the Tourism Victoria Arts, Culture & Society, City of Victoria Public Art Advisory Committee, the Mayor's Downtown Street Advisory Task Force, Ogden Point Enhancement Society, Commonwealth Games "Works" Board and partner in Greenbuilt Environmental Building Products, Ltd.
