About Donna Leskosek

Donna Leskosek was born in Natal, British Columbia into a family who has deep roots in coal mining. She has fond memories of growing up in Michel and loyalty to the bonds formed there.

After venturing out into the world to pursue an education and opportunities to make a difference in the world, she returned to the Elk Valley, believing it is far more satisfying to make a difference in a place you love than in one you barely know.

Donna has worked as a youth care worker, family support worker and is the team leader for Columbia Basin Family Resource Society. She is certain she has the best job in the world. She feels her sense of humour and belief in kindness are her two strongest assets. Next to her two children and her husband she loves reading most. Her sister got all of the genes for athletics that she should have got — and her rules for living include the fact that you almost never need search and rescue in a mall or a casino.
