A baby elephant at the Anantara Elephant Camp near Chiang Rai, in the Golden Triangle in northern Thailand glistens with mud after being given a cooling bucket bath by his mahout to help him cool off.
While his carer’s back is turned, the would-be thief climbed up on the log railing and tried to reach into the mahout’s vegetable garden for a quick snack. Why not? He works for peanuts.
