Today let’s talk about releasing fear.
Have you ever felt like you were afraid all the time?
When I was a child, I remember sitting in my room feeling terribly afraid. Remember the movie The Blob, with Steve McQueen? I saw it when I was 8 years old, and for months after that I would have to check under the bed for monsters before I could turn out the light. I carried that fear mentality into adulthood, and I can remember coming out of scary movies, shaking with fear far beyond the effects of the movie. I discovered it was related to growing up in an alcoholic family, feeling the fear of what might happen when the drinking started. I began to release those old fears, sometimes shaking like people do after a car wreck. Once released, I no longer had to carry those fears.
