Felt like rain when I took this picture. Rain held off until late last night. Maybe I am going to stay in today and read some Stafford, or maybe some Raymond Carver or Richard Hugo…someone who knows about the rain coast country where I live. Maybe that will unlock the words from my linguistic lair of lazy construction. With any luck at all the shadows that have been playing at the corners of my eyes will become friends and we will sit together. We will tell each other the stories that matter in the hours before daylight when the world outside is sleeping and the ghosts inside are hard at work.
