There used to be a market in Ajelogo, a neighborhood in Lagos, Nigeria, but on March 7, 2010, the Lagos State Government ordered the demolition of the Ajelogo market.
This demolition displaced more than 10,000 residents and vendors. The reason stated later was that the market was on illegal lands, but it had been there since 1978 apparently. The illegal structures demolished included churches, clinics, pharmaceutical shops, and restaurants.
Life as a human can be very hard and challenging sometimes, and I am posting this video to do at least a small bit to create solidarity with those who are suffering around the world from poverty, corruption and the lack of international will to make this planet a better place for us all.
