Rosie takes you on a backstage journey of her recent weekend in Seattle, where she was performing, posing and raising money for the troops.
Often the dichotomy of what I do, where I do it and the purpose of my creative endeavours cracks me up. Last weekend was a perfect example. With thousands of dollars worth of costumes, fans and jewelery I went on a little road trip to perform in Seattle. I was asked to be part of a fundraiser for the US troops overseas and to model for Seattle’s Dr. Sketchys (it’s a love affair between burlesque and artists).
The love, generosity and creative genius that lives in the burlesque community never ceases to amaze me. What’s even more extraordinary is how we all manage to create that glamour and beauty in the most interesting and sometimes challenging places.
I had the most divine time onstage, backstage and post show. After you watch the video diary, check out the end of this post for some great clips of the super fun music I got to enjoy during my post show shenanigans
