All of us, at one time or another, have asked the question — what do we need to be happy in life?
Over the ages, countless words, probing and philosophic words, have been written trying to address this question.
On the lighter side of this profound exploration, there is a simple answer offered to us by the late Andy Kaufman in his portrayal of Latka Gravas in the outstanding sitcom Taxi.
For those of you who have never seen this series, you really missed something special. It aired from 1978 to 1983, winning 18 Emmy Awards along the way. The show starred, in no particular order, Carol Kane, Andy Kaufman, Tony Danza, Judd Hirsh, Danny DeVito, Randal Carver, Jeff Conaway, Marilu Henner and Christopher Lloyd as the unforgettable Reverend Jim Ignatowski
And so, what did Latka, an immigrant from a very strange land, have to say about the question?
